when is the release date of this card and what price NV is going to target because performance of this card is way greater than 7770.i would really really hope to be 149 and its seem amd has reduced its price of 7850 1GB to 159$ so it would be best to get at 130$ hope this will be true

Official launch date is October 9th, final price is yet unclear, but you can draw some conclusions by browsing those offers.

Glad they didn't stick to Nvidia's limit on 1GB VRAM and letting partners go with 2GB, Gigabyte's 650ti 2GB Windforce OC looks a good deal at only £15 extra for the additional 1GB VRAM.

I personally don't see the point of a 2GB 650ti framebuffer when you'll hit the memory bandwidth first, prevents making full use of it, plus the extra VRAM has a slight performance impact. Maybe partners looked at the 1GB and thought it could turn punters away.

Either way, will be interesting to reads the various reviews.

Performance proved underwhelming. Trails 7850 by about 27-32% at 1080P: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_650_Ti_Power_Edition/28.html

AC game bundle and low power consumption are about the only good thing this card has going for it. NV should have launched this at $129 and made a real impact! I feel like these launch prices will come down soon with rebates.

Actually, NV made a good move since a lots of idiots believe when a card gets the name of GTX and Ti, it would be a good card. The GTX 650Ti performs 30% less than the HD 7850 1Gb version at the same price point. But peopple still buy it. And that's conclude tonight show of "How NV PR departments made stupid consumer more stupid".

It Should Be A GT Or A GS According To It's performance Not A GTX....Now Nvidia Putting GTX To Everything...

Gotta agree, should have been GT or even GTS since it's not very powerful.

Would you really even give the 'GTX 650 Ti' a midrange to performance tag!!? This is one dilution of GTX Nvidia doesn't want to screw with, they had already started with diluting the 680 series. Let's blame lack of competition for that one.

Unless someone has a cross-section of current series cards benched that points to a positive price/performance ratio then I'm yet to be convinced.

In Nvidia's GF 9000 There Were Many Versions ,GT,GS,GTS,GTX,GTX+,GX2 But Now Only "GTX".I Think There Are Going To Use "GTX" Like AMD's "HD"..
